Hi Beauties! Happy fall! With the transition of seasons, I like to add a little OOMPH into my makeup routine. A little refresh, and a little more va-va-VOOM, ya know? Some of you may already know Sigma Beauty – if you don’t, they are an international makeup brand known for their award winning brushes. After trying them out, there is NO denying their reputation, however, their makeup is also AMAZING and have now become a heavy part of my beauty routine.
I tend to sway towards an understated makeup look – give me effortless over looking too done up, any day of the week. Below are a few of my favorite beauty trends and must-have products to achieve a super natural, but glam everyday look.
Slight Contour: I don’t like to go overboard with the contouring, so I do what I like to call a “slight contour” – one that’s super natural. Sigma Beauty makes it easy to achieve with their contour brush and powder bronzer in “limelight” – a very universal shade to give you that perfect contour. Just swipe below your cheek bone, around your face, top of your forehead, and down the bridge of your nose. From here, just make sure to blend, blend, BLEND so as to avoid looking too streaky.
Highlighter, Always: Lately, I won’t leave the house without highlighter. If you all haven’t heard of strobing, it’s a BIG trend in the beauty world. Essentially, it’s just the layering of highlighter to bring light to your face. I used this technique by using Sigma’s liquid highlighter in “afterglow” to keep the product in place, and then followed up with their powder highlighter in “Peaceful” from their amazing wildflower palette. Layering the two creates a magnified highlight effect. Don’t know where to apply highlighter? It’s easy – just layer both products and apply to your cheekbones, forehead, under your brow bone, cupid’s bow, bridge of your nose, and center of your chin. When in doubt, consult this face map. Talk about a GLOW.
Fall LIP Service: Because DDDDUUUHHHHH. Sigma came out with this color in “bloody-good” which is a slightly understated red (and a nice change-up from a classic red). But also, we can’t forget about nudes and neutral shades. I love neutrals because they are perfect for daytime AND nighttime. Just opt for a few shades darker for a bit more drama. Shop the one I used in this post and some other favorites for fall below.
BOLD BROWS: Natural, yet bold brows are a bit of a science. Sigma’s brow powder duo is genius – you can create a really easy custom look by mixing the shades or going with a darker color to pump things UP. The duo comes in three different shades – I like to brush my brows up first with a brow/lash brush and then fill them in from there. Finish with a little clear gloss or gel to keep in place!
Thank you to Sigma Beauty for partnering on this post! As always, all opinions are my own.
