Beauty The Lipstick Fever

#NYFW TIDBITS

Hi Ya’ll! Fashion week was a complete whirlwind.  I had SUCH a blast seeing all my blogger girls and all of the incredible models and designers that I look up to in the fashion industry.  Fashion world and blogger world are actually quite different, but this #NYFW, I felt like these two worlds completely collided.  Although I felt like a chicken with my dang HEAD cut off all week, I had the best time.

Between hitting up backstage for the shows with MAC cosmetics (thank you SO much for having me) to other blogger events, I was one busy bee!!!  Here’s a little recap for you – a mix of photos from backstage to some of my favorite looks of the week.

Being backstage for Tadashi Shoji was SO cool.  The key artist for MAC was Pep Gay, a true makeup genius. Models were looking dreamy in hints of pink makeup (to match the collection) and donning MAC Spring17 lipcolor on both lips and eyes.  All products used were cream-based, making application SUPER easy (just blend with your finger!).

Later in the week, I went backstage for Simon Miller and also had a chance to check out the show itself (which was in a cemetery, casual).  In complete contrast to Tadashi Shoji, their SS17 collection consisted of neutral tones, denim, and wide-leg pants.  I wanted everything.  All looks called for very understated makeup – talking earth tones and LOTS of highlighter.   Natural brows were a non-negotiable and went along perfectly with the themes of the show.
