SUNDAY SKINCARE HEROES

skincare

I don’t know about you guys, but Sunday’s are for #selfcare.  And lots of it.  A huge focus for me too after a weekend (which typically includes a ton of eating and drinking) is my SKIN.  My sunday skincare routine has become a sort of non-negotiable.  As in, husband, please do not bother me between the hours of roughly 6-8pm on a Sunday as I will be in the bathroom meticulously going through my skincare routine – face and hair masks included.

OK, enough of my rambling. Below is a breakdown of my current skincare heroes and favorites – all of which are relatively new brands that I’ve discovered or introduced into the ol’ regimen.  Lately, I’m loving cleaner brands, and ones that are consciously incorporating more natural ingredients into their products.  There’s SO much on the market, so I feel like it’s important to educate ourselves a bit more on ingredients, and understanding what we’re actually putting on our skin.  I think too, since being in the UK and knowing their standards are a bit higher in the beauty realm, I’m starting to hone in on this in a new way.  ANYWAY – everything is linked below for you to shop as well!

skincare, flatlay

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate – Known as The Hollywood 2 minute facial, I use this product 1X per week (usually as part of my Sunday routine) to exfoliate and reveal glowing skin (also formulated with pumpkin enzymes, so feels fitting for this time of year 🙂

Lowengrip Cell Renewal Facial Cleanser – a new go-to facial gel complete with BHA to help get that deep clean, especially after wearing makeup. Also, it’s formulated in Sweden where standards are very high in the beauty realm – they use premium ingredients and have designed products specifically for sensitive skin.

Lumene Instant Glow Beauty Serum – another Nordic skincare brand! I’ve really fallen for their products – this serum is formulated with natural ingredients and will get you that dewy glow. I add a few drops to my makeup or moisturizer daily.

Avene Cicalfate – the old stand by! On sunday’s when my face needs a little extra TLC (great if you’re breaking out) cicalfate is what I reach for as it boosts cell regeneration and heals your skin. I’ll put a thicker layer on my trouble spots before bedtime.

RMS Beauty Oil – RMS is completely natural / non-toxic – their beauty oil is pure gold. For days where I don’t want to do a full face of makeup I’ll throw on the oil by itself or combine with their un cover-up concealer and I’m out the door. My face is always glowy and ultra moisturized with this combo.
